Cramp

kramp, n. A restriction or restraint; an iron instrument to hold together timbers, stones, etc.; piece of wood on which the upper leather of boot is stretched. (Med.) A spasmodic contraction of a muscle. — v. t. [cramped (krampt), cramping.] To hold tightly pre ed together, restrain from free action; to form on a cramp, as boot legs to afflict with cramp.
