Tinoporus (tinoporus)

[NL., Tinosporeæ (ti-no-spoʻre-ē), n. pl. [NL. (Bentham and Hooker, 1862), 6348 in pa ing the sheets, after they have received the final coating of tin, between steel rollers. "The object of this proce , which is by far the most important improvement of modern times, is to spread or equalize the metal over the surface of the sheet" ( Flower ). - Crystallized tinplate, tin-plate on whose surface the crystalline structure of the metal is developed by treatment with a mixture of dilute nitric and sulphuric acids.
