Andira

A genus of tropical leguminous trees. A. araroba, affords the Goa Powder (see Araroba). Several species yield active medicines, chiefly of local repute. A. inerm is (Cabbage tree). A. anthelmintic a, of Brazil, and A. retusa, of Guiana, have barks efficacious against worms.
