Albuminoids

(al-bu' -min-oidz). Substances resembling true proteids in their origin and composition. They are amorphous non-crystalline colloids, occurring as organized constituents of the ti ues, and also in fluid form. Mucin, Nuclein, Keratin, Fibroin, Spongin, Elastin, Gelatin, Chondrin, etc., are the principal members of the group.
