E., Dental, a foot-power machine, embracing the following devices and combinations: The use of a flexible wire shaft, with a flexible sheath over it. See Dental Engine. E., Surgical, an electric or foot power machine, used with a flexible wire shaft. It is employed in surgery, in drilling, boring, and smoothing bone, etc. Engle System. See Cremator .
