Verdigris

iver'-dig-ris. A deposit upon copper ve els from the formation of cupric salts. See Copper , and Pigments, Conspectus of. V., Blue, a deposit consisting in the main of bibasic acetate of copper. V., Common, basic cupric acetate. V., Green, a bright, very bluish-green verdigris composed of a mixture of several acetates, but mainly of sesquibasic cupric acetate.
