[Lat. post scrip tum, neut. sing. of postscript us, pa. par. of postscribo.] [POST SCRIBE. A paragraph or part added to a letter after it has been signed by the author; an addition to a book or composition after it had been supposed to be finished, and containing something which had been omitted in the body of the work, or which may have occurred subsequently to the author.
