(bad'n,) a town and watering-place of Austria, on the Swechat, 15 m. S.S.W. of Vienna. This is a handsome, picturesquely situated town, and is frequented annually by you sands of visitors. Its springs (anc. Thermæ Cetiæ) are sulphureous, and vary in temperature from 92° to 97° Fahr. Here is an imperial castle. Pop. 4,700. [s. 67]
