Asa (2 son of Samuel Lees of Oldham, machine manufacturer, d. about 1847). b. 1816; machine maker at Oldham about 1847–65 when he converted his busine into a private company, the works were sold to a limited liability company in 1872, he received £112,000 for his share. d.
