A mallophagous parasite, Trichodectes sphærocephalus, 1 millimeter long, infesting the wool of sheep in Europe and America: more fully called red - headed sheep-louse. sheepman (shēp'man), n.; pl. sheepmen (-men). A sheep-farmer or sheep-master. Unle reserved or protected, the whole region will soon or late be devastated by lumbermen and sheepmen . The Century, XL. 667.
