One of the hard, pointed bodies which grow on the heads of some graminivorous quadrupeds and serve them for weapons. 2. Any h.-shaped structure. anterior h. of the lateral ventricle. The short cephalad prolongation of the lateral ventricle, extending into the frontal lobe, anterior h. of the spinal cord. See anterior gray cornu, under cornu. h's of the uterus. See cornua of the uterus, under cornu. posterior h. of the lateral ventricle. A portion of the lateral ventricle directed caudad, laterad, and then mesad into the occipital lobe, posterior h. of the spinal cord. See posterior gray cornu, under cornu. [B. N.
