10, 1890. A celebrated German theolog i a theologian, son of Ignaz Döllinger, a leader in the "Old Catholic" movement. He published "Kirche und Kirchen, Papstthum und Kirchenstaat" (1861), "Papstfabeln des Mit tel alters" (1863), etc., and opposed decrees of the Vatican council 1869-70. He was excommunicated 1871.
