Stomachic and Antiperiodic.— Uses: Feeble digestion, and as substitute for quinine in remittent and intermittent fevers.— Dose: Stomachic , 1/2 —1 grn.; antiperiodic , 6—8 grn., both in pills. Pitch, Burgundy—U.S.P. Used only extern., as counterirritant.— Preparations: Plaster (80 per cent.); Cantharidal Pitch Plaster (8 per cent. cerate cantharides, 92 per cent. pitch).
