Hades

Greek god of the nether world; same as Roman Hades. Pluto; son of Cronos, brother of Jupiter and Neptune; husband of Perse phone, whom he carried from the upper world; giver of all ble ings which come from the earth, and so god of wealth. Also, world of the dead, equivalent to Hebrew Sheol; in English Bible imperfectly translated Hell.
