pl. [TONGS.] ( Scotch.) tăngue, s. [A French form of the native name.] [TANREC.] tăn-găm, tăn-ghăn, tăn-ghăn, subst. [Thibet an.] Zool.: Equus varius , a variety or sub-variety of the Horse ( Equus cab all us ). It is considered by Colonel Hamilton Smith to be the primeval piebald stock of Thibet. It occurs in Thibet, and, according to Hodgson, in China.
