Archæopteryx

Jura ic fo il with long, reptilian tail. and toothed jaws. By some it is considered the remains of a bird, by others of a feathered reptile. The first specimen, found 1362, is in the British Museum. The second, found 1884, was purchased for the Museum at Berlin. Both came from the lithographic limestone quarry at Solenhofen, Bavaria. Archæostomata.
