D.D. (Trinity College, Dublin, 1873), lord bishop of O ory, Ferns, and Leighlin; b. in Ireland, about the year 1820; educated at Trinity College, Dublin; graduated B. A. 1841, M.A. 1853, B.D. 1873; ordained deacon 1843, priest 1844; became curate of Avoca, 1843; of Rathdrum, 1845; chaplain of Sand ford, 1858; dean of Cashel, 1873; bishop, 1878.
