{asf -ar-uni) \_aaapov, asarabacca]. A genus of aristolochia ceo us plants. A. can a dense, called wild ginger, Canada snake-root, with other N. American species, is used chiefly in domestic practice. A. can a dense is a fragrant, aromatic stimulant. Dose of fid. ext. n\ xv-^ (1.0-2.0). A. europaeum has diaphoretic, emetic, purgative, and diuretic qualities, but is now little used except in veterinary practice. 92
