FORFAR

the county town of For far shire, is a royal and parliamentary burgh, 14 miles north by east of Dundee. The public buildings include, besides churches and schools, a town house, county buildings, and publio hall. ‘The staple manufacture is linen, especially of the coarser varicties, there being several large factories in 523 connection with which are bleach works. Forfar is one of the Montrose burghs which return one member to Parliament. Pop. (1931), 9,660.
