Child's game, in which the players in turn drive a pebble through a diagram marked on the ground, by hopping in various ways. The divisions of the diagram, which varies in different countries, are usually numbered, and the last one commonly receives a name, as Paradise in France and Germany and Temple in Austria. The game is of high antiquity; its origin is unknown.
