Sunday. Their system of belief was a pure deism; their service a simple liturgy, with some emblematic mummeries. The attempt to found anew sect was, however, wholly unsucce ful. In 1802 they were forbidden the use of the churches by the consuls, and then ceased to exist. [s. 1242]
