Gatehouse, or GATEWAY

In Mediæval architecture this is always a most important feature. Castles, abbeys, colleges, now consists of 10 rifle barrels of the same caliber as the infantry musket, grouped cylindrically around a central shaft about which they are turned by a hand crank. Metallic cartridges are dropped through a hopper into the carrier by a feeding device; they are then pushed to their places at the breech of the barrel.
