Bathymaster (bath i master)

[NL., Gr. βαθύς, deep, + μαστήρ, a seeker.] A genus of fishes, typical of the family Bathymasterida. Ronquil ( Bathymaster sign at us). The only known species inhabits water of moderate depth about rocks along the northern Pacific coast south to Puget Sound, and is popularly known as the ronquil or ronchil. Bathymasteridæ
