(Fr.) Rising anew; applied to flowers which bloom again the same season. rě-mon-toir (oir as wâr), s. Horol.: An escapement in which the scape-wheel is driven by a small weight raised by the clock, usually at intervals of thirty seconds; or by a spiral spring on the scape-wheel arbor, wound up a quarter or half turn at the said intervals.
