(rit.) [From A. S. rigt.] (Geom.) A term often used as signifying straight; as, a right line; but, generally, it is opposed to oblique; thus, a right angle is one formed by two lines meeting perpendicularly; a right prism, one whoso sides are perpendicular to the base. [s. 771]
