(an'nu-lar.) [From L. annulus, a ring.] Ring shaped. (Astron.) An eclipse is said to be A. when a ring of light is left on the body eclipsed.-(Anat.) An appellation given to several parts of the body: thus, the A. cartilage is the second cartilage of the larynx; the A. ligament is a strong ligament encompa ing the wrist after the manner of a bracelet; and the A. proce is that which surrounds the medulla oblong at a.
