Syn.: utero-ovarian amputation as completive of the Ccesanean operation, Porro's operation, oophoro- (or ovario-) h. A modification of the Caesarean operation in which the uterus and the ovaries are removed, as well as the contents of the first-mentioned organ. The section is made through the cervix uteri, the stump of which is clamped with an ecraseur or some similar constrictor, and treated like a clamped ovariotomy pedicle.
