A cone or a cone shaped body. 2. A posterior staphyloma, so-called, crescentic in shape and seen on one or the other side of the optic disk, usually the temporal. It is a thinning or atrophy of the choroid stroma, including the pigment, which allows the white sclera to become visible, c. arteriosus.
