[Lat. ablatio = a taking away; ablatus = taken away ab = away; lat us, pa. par. of tollo to raise, to remove.] I. The act or proce of carrying away. 1. In a general sense: "And this prohibition extends to all injustice, whether done by force or fraud; whether it be by ablation, or detaining of rights." Jeremy Taylor: Works, vol. iii.
