Nebula

Neb, neb, neh'-u-là, s. the nose; s.; pl. abeak; Nebulæ a; nib) a cloudy (A.S. nebb appearance;, face). a white spot or slight opacity of the cornea [Med.]; a faint and misty appearance, dimly visible in the heavens, and resolvable either under the telescope into groups of stars, or under the spectroscope into a ma of gaseous matter (L. from Gr. nephele, a mist, a cloud).
