Henrietta Skerrett (youngest dau. of Anthony Rubens Montalba). b. 63 Oakley st. St. Pancras, London 1856; studied sculpture at South Kensington and in the school of the Belle Arti at Venice; pupil of Jules Dalou, French sculptor in London; the greater part of her work was executed in terra-cotta; exhibited portraits and fancy busts at the R.A., Grosvenor gallery, New gallery and elsewhere; her last work a life size figure of A Venetian boy catching a crab was exhibited at the R.A. 1893 and at International exhibition Chicago same year; resided latterly at Venice. d. the Palazzo Trevisazz, Zattere, Venice 14 Sep. 1893. bur. near her father in cemetery of St. Michele; the Prince Louise painted her portrait and presented it to the academy of Ottawa in Canada.
