Current amongst pickpockets. To jam against a victim in a violent manner; to squeeze a victim between two pickpocket a istants in a way to distract his attention from the principal in the encounter who consectaneously [11] extracts the victim’s valuables from a given pocket. In the present tense the term is used in the imperative mood, being a command and an instruction of itself. Example: “Roust!!” “Jostle the victim rudely, but in a seemingly unconscious manner.” [11] The author probably intended “simultaneously.”
