(1880). Received a grammar school education at Dunoon, Scotland. Went to the West Indies in 1898. Traveled extensively in that country and also in Sout America. Was sub-editor of the Dail Gleaner at Kingston from 1901 to 1905 when he moved to New York and fror then until 1907 was connected wit various newspapers in New York City He was the author of The Vanish in Smuggler, 1909; When Love Calls Me to Arms, 1910; The Trail of the Tender foot and A Prince of Romance, 1911 Footloose and Free, 1912; The Belove Physician— Edward Livings ton Trudear 1915; The Penny Piper of Sarana 1916; Enchanted Cig are its, 1917; an The Greater Punishment, in 1920. (1868). Graduated from Bell view Hos pital Medical College in 1897. Pedia attending pediatrist, Jamaica Hospital 1913-16; attending physician and pedia trist Flushing Hospital, 1915; attend in; physician at Queensboro Hospital, 191. and president of the medical board of th latter institution from 1915-1921. Wa 2nd Lt. President’s Troop, Washington D. C., 1889-90; capt. a t. surgeon of th 12th Regiment, N.G.N.Y., 1897-8; maj surgeon 12th N.Y. Volunteers, 1898-9 and maj. surgeon U.S. Volunteers fron 1899 to 1903. Saw service at Chica maugua, in Cuba and in the Philip pines.
