Coursing

(kōr's ing.) [From L. curro, I run.] (Sports.) The art or practice of hunting any beast of chase, especially the hare, with beagles or greyhounds. C. was a popular sport with the ancient Greeks and Gauls. It is now much practised in various countries of Europe, especially in England. [s. 238]
