HENNA

n. He"n'a3. Copt., khenna. Ar., khanna. Sanscr., Maroodanie. Hind., mayndie, nubian. kofreh. Fr., henne. The leaves of Laws on i a alba powdered and made into a paste; used as a cosmetic by the Egyptian Mohammedan men and women for dyeing their finger-nails, palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and hair an orange-red color.
