Cataract, an opacity of the crystalline lens sometimes found in a ociation with and thought to be a complication of diabetes. D. Coma. See Diabetes mellitus. D. Gangrene. See Sphaceloderma . D. Sugar, a form of glucose, present in the urine of diabetes mellitus. It is identical with grape-sugar. D. Tabes, a peripheral neuritis occurring in diabetic patients, characterized by lightning-pains in the legs, lo of knee-jerk, and a lo of power in the extensors of the feet.
