BENET, WILLIAM ROSE

(1886), author and poet, was 6. at Fort Hamilton, New York harbor. He was educated at Albany Academy and Sheffield Scientific School. For some years he was a free lance in California, contributing chiefly poetry to the pay yoni i Later he became a reader for the Century, Magazine and has been a istant editor of that magazine since 1914. During the World War he was in the U.S. Air Service, in 1919 joining the Corman Co, advertising service. Since 1920 he has been a ociate editor of the New York Evening Post Literary Review.
