& s. [Fr., from Lat. germen (gen it. germin is ) =a germ, a shoot.] A. As adj .: Of or pertaining to a germ or seedbud. B. As subst.: The name given in October, 1793, by the French Convention to the seventh month of the republican year. It commenced on March 21, and was the first spring month.
