Milit. A post or station to which soldiers are directed to repair if danger suddenly arise. alarm-watch, s. A watch capable, like a clock, of striking the hours. (Spec.) A watch so constructed that it can strike frequently at a certain hour, say that at which one desires to awake from sleep.
