Milit. A post or station to which soldiers are directed to repair if danger suddenly arise. alarm-watch, s. A watch capable, like a clock, of striking the hours. (Spec.) A watch so constructed that it can strike frequently at a certain hour, say that at which one desires to awake from sleep. "You shall have a gold alarm - watch , which, as there may be cause, shall awake you."-Sir T. Herbert.
