Proclamation

(prok-la-ma's hun.) [ L.] A public notice or declaration of anything in the name of the prince or supreme i magistrate. To i ue a proclamation is a prerogative of the sovereign; and it is binding on the subject, so far as it is grounded on, and enforces, the laws of the land.. [s. 734]
