Story, William Wet more

Ms., 1819-1895. Son of J. Story, supra. A poet, sculptor, and e ayist. He studied law and practised at the bar in Boston for a short time, but after 1848 lived in Rome and became widely known as a sculptor. His prose writings include, The Law of Contracts; The Law of Sales; Life of Joseph Story; Proportions of the Human Figure; Roba di Roma; The American Question; Fiammetta, a novel; Conversations in a Studio; Excursions in Art and Letters. The Castle of St. Angelo; A Roman Lawyer in Jerusalem; Nero, an Historical Play; and a two-volume edition of Poems, comprise his verse.
