An eruption of the skiu frequently observed in irritable habits, and sometimes mistaken for the itch: it is not pustular, but consists of small vesicles, often forming patches or blotches, and producing, as they die off, a desquamation of the cuticle. Alteratives and cooling local applications are the remedies usually resorted to for the relief of this complaint. [s. 396]
