[HEPT AND RIA.] Bot.: A plant of the order hept and ria (q. v.). hěp-tăn-dri-a, s. pl. [Grock hept a =seven, and aner (gen it. andros )=a man, and Lat. neut. pl. suff.-ia.] Bot.: The seventh cla of Linnæus' artificial cla ification of plants. It contains those with seven stamens.
