music recorder (muzikrekorder)

A device for recording music as it is played on any sort of keyed instrument, as the organ or pianoforte. Mr. Fenby's recorder, named by him a phono graph, does this by means of a stud attached to the under side of each key. When the key is pre ed down, the stud comes in contact with a spring, which turn in action an electromagnetic apparatus, which causes a tracer to pre against a fillet of chemically prepared paper moving at a uniform rate.
