Benjamin Franklin, an American lawyer, born in Kinder hook Landing, N. Y., Dee. 17, 1795. From 1821 to 1825 he was district-attorney of Albany county. He was elected to the A embly in 1828, and from 1834 to 18388 was United States Attorney- General. He was also acting Secretary of War during part of Jackson’s administration. He died in Paris, France, Nov. 8, 1858.
