Gerundive

(je-ründ'iv.) [From L. ger ere, to carry.] (Gram.) In English, a participle preposition ally governed, and itself governing an objective case; as, the way of choosing a wife. In the Latin, it is the future participle in the pa ive voice. [s. 406]
