(kre’o-lin). A thick, blackish, liquid preparation, saponified coal-tar creosote; it is a odorizer, antiseptic, and hemostatic; used in surgical dre ings, in obstetric cases, and in gastric and urinary disorders in 2 per cent. solution. Dose, 4-5 min. (0.033-0.32 C.c.).
