[Eng. stann(um), and ethyl.] Chem. (pl.): Ethyl compounds of tin. Three of these are at present known; viz., stannous ethide, Sui (C2H5)2, stannoso-stannic ethide, Snin2 (C2H5)61 and stannic ethide Sniv (C2H5)4, the first and second acting as organic radicles, capable of uniting with chlorine, bromine, oxygen, ., and the third being a saturated compound. stăn-nic, a. [Eng.stann(um); -ic.] Contained in or derived from tin.
