[L., dim. of asinus, an a : see a 1.] 1. [Pl. Aselli (-i).] A name given to each of the two stars y and d Cancri, lying east of the quadrangle of that constellation.-2. [NL.] The typical genus of the family Asellida. A. aquatic us, the water hoglouse, is a common form in fresh water. asemia (a-sē'mi-ä), n. [NL., a symbol i a. asepsis (a-sep's is), n.
