A gla ve el divided into two compartments by a vertical partition; used for administering such preparations as seidlitz powders when it is desired that all the carbonic acid shall be swallowed. The carbonate is di olved in one compartment, and the acid in the other; the ren then brings the gla to his mouth in such a manner that he rinks from both compartments simultaneously, and effervescence takes place in his mouth.
